Rivalry notes
Pre toss: theres rain, AGAIN. I reverted my team to just Salt and Vaibhav. I already have 2 players so i dont see the point of taking a risk. If things get started soon I might just bring in Jaiswal but not Bishnoi.
Well that last game didn’t exactly go to plan… again. Allen VC for 22.5 and Pant C for 30 is just nowhere near good enough, especially when you need your multipliers to carry. Raghuvanshi was the one bright spot with 72 which is solid, but of course I didn't cap him. Feels like whatever I do the opposite seems to play out.
Already have Salt and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in for this one. Going to make 2 transfers here. Raghuvanshi out for Jaiswal and Allen out for Bishnoi. KKR doesn't play for awhile so those two had to go first. We will be seeing Raghuvanshi again but Allen just hasn’t good enough and there are better options available for now. Jaiswal comes in as a higher ceiling option, especially if he gets going early. He’s the kind of player that can just take the game away and those are the players you want to target when you’re trying to make up ground. Going with both RR openers is a risk but based on past performances I'm willing to take that risk. Bishnoi comes in as more of a stability pick. He has shown his wicket-taking ability and doesn’t rely on conditions as much as some other bowlers. Feels like a safer way to pick up points rather than chasing another boom or bust batter. Which is very different to what I was expecting at the start of the season, nice to see bowlers play a role again.
I did consider a few other options but most of them either didn’t have the same upside as Jaiswal or had tougher matchups. Bowling options were there too but Bishnoi just felt like the most balanced pick. Padikkal and Kohli have been great for RCB and are very reasonable picks. Jurel and Patidar are decent picks too. Allrounder have been lowkey disappointing continuing their poor performances since IP introduction. Burger could be a good differential bowling pick.
Team is looking decent on paper again which I’ve said before and it hasn’t worked out, but at some point it has to click. Thinking of going Jaiswal Cap but Salt VC even though Vaibhav has been better. Could be a bit of a differential. Just need a couple solid games to get things back on track.
Hoping this is finally the turnaround game. Thanks for reading and I'll see you after the toss.
Hi, how many transfers do you have remaining. Also any particular match you have in mind where you would like to play your booster next?
23 transfers used including this game, 137 left. I've been very conservative compared to others to use later and it's partly why my score is lower than others. Should be able to accelerate after Match 25ish. RR vs SRH I'll use a 2x. I'll then keep the SRH players and use probably Indian Warriors against CSK. This minimises transfer usage and they both happen in the highest scoring ground with weaker bowling sides and stronger batting sides. Another great option is CSK vs LSG in match 53 and 59. You could theoretically only need to make 2-3 transfers for each match so by the second game you only need to make 3 transfers to have a full 11. I'll use another either IW or 2x in the playoffs and the wildcard after one of the 2x/IW. This isn't in stone I'll see how the season goes like if SRH vs RR rains I'll likely wait for CSK vs LSG. 3x captain and Free Hit can be used any time, I think FS is a good booster to wait a dozen more games and when we know which teams have the best OS players for sure then we use it. So far RCB vs GT in Chinnaswamy looks like a good option. I'll make a post about this soon.
Salt doesn't keep for RCB, Jitesh does
My mistake sorry, will fix
Hi @shreyas, when do you plan to use boosters? thanks for help
