Rivalry notes
PBKS won and chose to bowl and team will remain the same. Good luck.
Yesterday had a last minute change from Salt to Bhuvi which worked out really well. Only made 2 transfer but put up a decent total 240+ as Bhuvi took 3 wickets and Rajat made an acceptable 27 runs. I think the tides are really turning in favour of bowlers now. No incredible performances I really missed out on, but Rasikh Salam is a name to remember for next time.
First of the plan to maintain as many CSK vs SRH players for their match to use the Indian Warriors boost again is looking good, as I should only have to make 3 transfers that day. I don't have any PBKS or MI players so I'll 2 transfers today. A third one would be wasteful as I'd have to remove Rajat and there's no good batters for 9cr this match. So I'll just remove Angkrish and Bhuvi. This leaves me with only 18.5cr and I MUST pick 1 batter and 1 bowler. So it's very restrictive and I don't have many choices. I felt Shreyas Iyer has been great and I wanted him but at 10.5cr it means the best bowler I can take is Vyshak or Bartlett. Bartlett has taken a wicket every game so far, where Vyshak didn't last match. But I looked at the data the last 3 seasons and pacer tend to take more wickets and especially so with the new ball that Bartlett gets to use so I decided he would be better.
The other option is to take someone like Bumrah, Arshdeep or Chahal but they cost more and have done worse this season. They would leave me with only Rutherford or Shashank as options so I decided to go Shreyas C, Bartlett VC. And if you wanted a WK P Singh and Rickelton are both great but I'd lean Singh. Cooper is a great cheap pick if you need it.
Now only a couple games until I use the next booster and we see how well my plan worked out. I've also been using transfers at a conservative 1.8 per game but now that we're at the mid game I should use it at a rate above 2pg ideally. Thanks for reading and I'll see you after the toss.
