Rivalry notes
For the SRH vs KKR clash, I’ve decided to keep it simple again and back just 5 players: Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Finn Allen and Jacob Duffy.
This feels like one of those games where momentum swings quickly, so I’ve leaned towards players who can either dominate phases of the game or pick up points in clusters.
Ishan Kishan
Kishan looks like the kind of player who’s going to take full control of this SRH batting lineup. Opening the innings, he’ll get the best of the conditions, and if he settles early, he’s the type to convert starts into something much bigger rather than throwing it away.
Abhishek Sharma
He’s basically SRH’s wildcard. You never really know what you’re going to get, but when he gets going, he doesn’t just score runs, he changes the tempo of the match completely. Against a KKR attack that can sometimes rely on variation, his fearless approach could be key.
Travis Head
Head is built for these kinds of matchups. He likes pace on the ball, and KKR’s attack will give him that. If he finds his timing early, he can put the pressure straight back on the bowlers and force KKR to rethink their plans quickly.
Finn Allen
This is more of a calculated punt. Allen is explosive at the top, and even if he doesn’t bat long, he can still give you a quick burst of points. In fantasy, that kind of impact in a short time can sometimes be just as valuable as a longer innings.
Captaincy choices
This one came down to Abhishek Sharma vs Ishan Kishan for me.
I’ve gone with Abhishek Sharma as captain again. It’s definitely a high-risk move, but also the kind that can separate your team if it pays off.
For vice-captain, I’ve gone with Ishan Kishan, just to bring in a bit more stability. He’s more likely to give you a solid base of points even if things don’t go perfectly.
Overall, the idea here is pretty straightforward: Back aggressive top-order players, accept the volatility, and aim to capitalise on those big, momentum-shifting performances.
Jacob Duffy?
